How it works
Participating DA BUX retailers discount Hawaiʻi- grown produce by 50% for customers paying with SNAP (formerly known as food stamps).
The Food Basket uses DA BUX program funds to reimburse DA BUX retailers for the discounts to cover the full retail cost of sold produce.
These discounts result in increased sales of local produce to low-income households, and increased purchasing from local farms.
DA BUX is a statewide program administered by The Food Basket in partnership with the Hawai'i Good Food Alliance.
