SNAP Outreach
(Food Stamps)
Rising food costs highlight the necessity of SNAP and its potential to support Hawaiʻi families in need. SNAP benefits are a vital resource in the fight against hunger and have the power to support countless families by expanding their monthly food budgets.
SNAP is an underutilized resource due to lack of awareness, lack of time, uncertainty, and stigma, resulting in approximately 1 in 3 SNAP-eligible households in Hawaiʻi not receiving the benefits they are entitled to. The SNAP Outreach Team addresses barriers and connects residents with the services they deserve by answering SNAP-related questions and providing step-by-step guidance through the SNAP application and renewal process.
